چکیده

Abstract Background Atherosclerosis is the underlying process causing coronary artery calcification. Pathophysiology of aortic and mitral valve calcification has several similarities with atherosclerosis, but their correlation not been clear, especially in patients atherosclerosis. Purpose This study aims to investigate between calcium score arteries, aortic, valves Methods was a cross-sectional, study. Stratified randomization done based on category. The calculated using Agatston technique. Statistical tests were look for correlations score, as well + score. Results There are ninety-seven subjects (coronary “mild” 34 subjects, “moderate” 30 “severe” 33 subjects) mean age 63.85 (± 9.80) years old. median 158.7 (Agatston Unit (AU; 1–3917.7), 12.6 AU (0–3747), 0.1 (0–1247.5 AU). very weak mitral, Conclusions no statistically significant valve, However, secondary analysis showed them varied depending severity calcification, which could shed light better understanding atherosclerotic artery, valve.

Mitral valve prolapse in patients with coronary artery disease.

Sir, One should differentiate angiographic prolapse from midsystolic click, the auscultatory hallmark of the mitral valve prolapse-click syndrome. In my articles quoted by the authors, I have refuted the causal association between coronary artery disease and the midsystolic click rather than between coronary artery disease and angiographic mitral valve prolapse. In coronary artery disease, angi...
